Small Hours Studio / a fictional design practice

A little curiosity.
A lot of possibility.

I make digital things feel a little more human.
Thoughtful details. Useful ideas. Room to play.

Product concept / planning

Daylight

A gentler way to plan a week. A small calendar that makes space for the things that don't fit on a to-do list.

Notes to myself

  • Ask one more question.
  • Make the small things good.
  • Leave room for a happy accident.
A WORK IN PROGRESS, ALWAYS.

The person behind the desk

Hello, I'm Mika.

A fictional designer who likes useful things, unexpected colors, and asking what happens if we try it another way.

This little studio is a place for thoughtful product concepts and half-finished ideas worth keeping.

Off the clock

Little rituals.
Small experiments.

A place to try things.

A color for a feeling

Four colors, one quiet afternoon. A tiny study in making a palette feel like a place.

Letters with personality

Playing with scale and rhythm until the words feel as thoughtful as what they say.

Something to turn over

A small interaction study: when a simple object invites a second look.

A thought worth keeping

Your little notebook.

Notes stay on this page while it's open. Reloading clears them.

Fictional product concept

Daylight: room for a good week.

The question

What would a planner look like if unplanned time mattered as much as scheduled tasks?

The approach

Show a small set of intentions, group focus time visually, and leave generous gaps. The design makes a crowded week recognizable without turning every moment into a performance score.

The prototype

A calendar concept with gentle color cues and short, plain labels. This is an interface exploration, with no claimed user research or measured business results.

Fictional product concept

Fieldnotes: notice a little more.

The question

How can a local guide favor personal discoveries over a long list of ratings?

The approach

Give each place a brief handwritten-style note and a clear map position. Keep the contributor's observation more prominent than a numerical score.

The prototype

A paper-map composition and short place cards. Locations and contributors are imaginary; this example does not connect to a live map service.
