An excerpt of the onetake launch film: a prompt opens into a typographic animation and an earbud product screen.
Project screenshotsAbout this Skill
onetake guides a coding agent through a short motion film in which elements carry from one beat into the next. It develops three visual concepts, plans rhythm and transitions, composes a deterministic HTML scene using the included motion library, adds sound and renders an MP4. Its verification tools inspect continuity, framing, motion and audio; the result still needs human review.
Why we picked it
A practical workflow for short motion films, from three visual concepts and a beat sheet to HTML composition, sound, rendering and continuity checks. The open repository is licensed for noncommercial use only.
What it helps with
- Make a 10–30 second product launch clip or teaser with a continuous visual idea.
- Build a narrated feature demo from screenshots by recreating the interface in HTML.
- Analyze a reference or inspect a motion film for slideshow-like pacing and weak transitions.
What the workflow produces
Choose a visual concept, then develop a beat sheet that identifies what carries between beats. The composition and motion library drive frame-by-frame rendering; the scripts produce drafts and final MP4s, still sheets and verification reports. Finished upstream examples include films and breakdowns, but not their source compositions.
Install the complete repository
The entrypoint relies on the repository's libraries, templates and scripts. For Claude Code, clone to ~/.claude/skills/onetake; the command below uses the shared skills directory documented for Codex.
| Command | What it helps with |
|---|---|
git clone https://github.com/feitangyuan/onetake.git ~/.agents/skills/onetake | Clone the complete Skill and its supporting files for Codex. |
Before you use it
- Python 3, Playwright with Chromium, NumPy, SciPy, Pillow, Matplotlib, fonttools and brotli; FFmpeg/ffprobe and Node.js. OpenCV is needed for reference motion analysis.
- Narration adds faster-whisper and Kokoro dependencies; Japanese narration has additional language dependencies. Rendering can take substantial time.
- PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 permits qualifying noncommercial use only; commercial use requires a separate license from the author.
